No. Nothing leaves your PC until you click the pill and pick where it goes. Ignore it and it fades away.

Yes, a small one. You sign in with your Google account, so there is no new password to make, and we can look after your trial and your purchase. Nothing you copy is stored in it.

Up to 1 MB of text in one send, which is a very long document, and images up to 32 MB. Ordinary text, links and code go across in a moment.

No. Dictation and translation run entirely on your PC. Your voice, your words and their translations never leave it and are never saved.

Tap Ctrl + Win in any app and speak, or hold it while you speak. Each phrase is typed where your cursor is a moment after you pause. You can choose another shortcut in Settings.

Only if you turn it on, in Settings > Voice & translation; it is off until you do. While it is on, the microphone stays open and Windows shows it in use. Nothing it hears is saved, logged or sent.

No. It drops filler sounds like “um” and keeps the corrections you say, so “Tuesday, no, Wednesday” becomes “Wednesday”. It never rewords what you say and never adds a word. Turn off “Remove ‘um’ and ‘uh’” to get exactly what the speech model heard.

Yes. Download a speech model (and the translation model, if you want translation) in Settings > Voice & translation, and from then on both work without an internet connection.

Fast is a 293 MB download, Balanced 969 MB, Accurate 1.62 GB and translation 1.56 GB. The Accurate model, best for Hindi and Bengali, uses about 0.9 GB of memory; translation adds about 1.8 GB. Clipee suggests the model that suits your PC and checks there is enough memory before loading one.

Once. On one PC, choose Add a PC and it shows a nine-digit code. On each other PC, choose Add a PC, then Enter a code, and type it in. The code works for 15 minutes.
